ACTIV Sports Summit Held in Frisco, USA’s “Sports City” – Wave Company Showcases Cutting-Edge Smartwear Technology

ree

Frisco, Texas—known as “Sports City, USA”—hosted the ACTIV Sports Summit 2025 on April 14–15 (local time). This exclusive, invitation-only event brought together world-renowned sports industry figures, pioneering sports tech startups, and venture investors to explore the future of sports technology.

According to the organizing committee, the summit was designed to bring together the full sports ecosystem—covering the Athlete, Audience, and Arena sectors—to seek innovations that can extend beyond sports into other industries.

The event’s prestige was elevated by the participation of global sports tech investment organizations such as Plug and Play Sportstech, Comcast SportsTech, Stadia Ventures, SeventySix Capital, and Vayner Sports, all serving as Founders Partners. Over two days, the summit featured keynote speeches, product demos, panel discussions, and startup pitch competitions. More than 200 venture funds and family office investors attended, showing strong interest in next-generation sports startups. Hundreds of industry leaders, investors, startup founders, and professional athletes gathered in Frisco for vibrant networking and discussions on the future of the sports business.

Wave Company, a South Korean sports tech startup, was the only Asian startup invited to the summit, receiving an official invitation from Stadia Ventures. This was not a typical trade show but an exclusive, closed-door event for handpicked sports tech startups from around the world—reflecting Wave Company’s technological strength and global competitiveness.

At the summit, Wave Company showcased its flagship compression wear brand WaveWear, its AI-powered motion analysis solution TracMe, and its conductive silicone material ElecSil, attracting significant attention. The company also engaged in meaningful networking with key U.S. sports industry stakeholders through informal investor sessions arranged by Stadia Ventures.

During these sessions, Wave Company connected with local accelerators, sports tech VCs, and league representatives, laying the groundwork for future global collaborations. A former NBA player-turned-investor attended Wave Company’s product demonstration, showing strong interest and arranging a follow-up meeting to explore potential partnerships. The functionality of WaveWear also caught the attention of an active professional basketball player, leading to on-the-spot discussions about possible collaboration.

Participation in the ACTIV Sports Summit has been recognized as a decisive step for Wave Company in establishing a foothold in the U.S. sports market.

Wave Company Co-CEO Na-Yeon Cho stated,

“It was an incredibly meaningful opportunity to present our technology on one of the world’s largest sports tech stages and to meet key partners.”

The company plans to accelerate its U.S. market localization this year, officially launching in the American market and expanding partnerships with local sports teams, athletic facilities, and medical and rehabilitation institutions.
