BLACKYAK X WaveWear Launch Three New Taping Compression Wear Products

Global high-performance outdoor brand BLACKYAK (Chairman Kang Tae-sun) has teamed up with Wave Company (Co-CEO Nancy Cho), the creator of the sports taping compression brand WaveWear, to launch a new lineup of three taping compression wear items.
The collaboration introduces three products—an arm sleeve, calf sleeve, and knee support—designed to provide functional compression for improved performance and injury prevention during outdoor and sports activities. Compression wear helps stabilize muscles and joints through targeted pressure, supporting enhanced endurance and reduced fatigue.
WaveWear, known for its patented taping compression technology, has developed over 30 performance products and holds more than 50 intellectual properties. The brand has also obtained international CE medical certification, building a strong presence across global sports associations and retail channels.
Each collaborative item—Wave Arm Sleeve, Wave Calf Sleeve, and Wave Knee Support—integrates BWAS™ (Bio-Waved Adhesive Silicone) technology, WaveWear’s patented innovation that applies bio-adhesive silicone onto Nano Fresh fabric, co-developed with BLACKYAK. This combination helps relieve pain, reduce muscle fatigue by up to 35%, and enhance athletic performance, while offering superior antibacterial properties, breathability, and a soft touch.
True to BLACKYAK’s design ethos, the collection balances technical precision with sleek aesthetics. The minimalist black tone complements various outdoor looks, while the internal wave-patterned silicone ensures excellent stretch, durability, and adherence. It lightly adheres to the skin without irritation, maintains function after washing, and offers long-lasting usability.
The taping lines are strategically positioned to target major muscle groups, allowing anyone to experience professional taping effects easily and quickly.
