[BioTimes] WaveCompany, a wearable and sports medical technology company, officially invited to the ASPN (Asia Sports Tech Pioneer Network) Sports Technology Accelerator (AC) Program in Tokyo, Japan, marking the start of its global expansion into the sports tech market, the company announced on the 10th.

This invitation was made possible after WaveCompany was selected as a 'Global Winner' at the 2020 HYPE SPIN Accelerator Program.

The ASPN Sports Technology Accelerator Program is a global initiative that supports the growth of startups combining sports and advanced technologies. Participating companies receive mentorship, networking opportunities, funding options, and strategic support for entering the global sports market.

The program saw the attendance of key investors, including Incubate Fund, and sports industry professionals. At the demo show held on the 6th, each company showcased its technologies.

WaveCompany unveiled its fitness solution TracMe utilizing its proprietary strain soft sensor, TracSil. This technology precisely measures joint angles and effectively monitors movement, garnering significant attention in the global sports and healthcare markets. Particularly, its high potential for use in rehabilitation therapy, senior healthcare, and industrial environment monitoring attracted the attention of many buyers on-site.

With this program participation, WaveCompany is accelerating its global market expansion. After winning the Innovation Award in the Digital Health category at CES 2024, the company also earned recognition for its technology at the world-renowned medical device exhibition MEDICA 2024 in Düsseldorf, Germany, and the largest global sports industry exhibition ISPO 2024 in Munich. Active collaboration discussions with key buyers from the U.S. and Europe are reportedly underway.

Jonayeon, CEO of WaveCompany, stated, "Through participating in the ASPN Sports Technology Accelerator Program, we were able to further strengthen our competitiveness in the global sports tech market. As the wearable and smart fitness market, which combines sports and advanced technology, grows rapidly, WaveCompany will continue to innovate to lead the global market."
